Ages 4-10 I 9:00AM - 1:00PM I Play Camp
This fully outdoor play camp is a week-long invitation to create, build, experiment, and explore. At Tinker Lab, children dive into imagination and invention as they tinker with thoughtfully curated materials and discover what happens when curiosity leads the way!
Each day, campers will explore a collection of base materials designed for open-ended creation; cardboard, loose parts, wood pieces, fabric, natural materials, tools, recyclables, and more! Children are encouraged to imagine, test ideas, problem-solve, and follow their creative instincts.
Alongside these base materials, we’ll introduce a special featured material each day -such as chalk, clay, mosaics, wire, paint, or other exciting mediums- to inspire new possibilities and expand their creative toolkit.
Each 5-day Play Camp is designed to feel like a true childhood experience; filled with movement, messy exploration, nature immersion, and meaningful connection. We believe children learn best by doing, so we fully expect and encourage getting messy as part of discovering, creating, and experiencing the world in a real and joyful way.
Throughout the week, children will engage in:
Hands-on STEM exploration and open-ended building challenges
Creative tinkering with loose parts and specialty materials
Movement-based games and collaborative design opportunities
Messy sensory exploration and artistic expression
Outdoor nature play and observation
Opportunities to practice communication, teamwork, and problem-solving
Our play-based approach supports the development of strong social-emotional foundations. Through shared experiences, collaboration, and guided exploration, children build confidence, resilience, creativity, and flexible thinking; skills that help them climb the ladder to success in school, relationships, and life.
This camp takes place entirely outdoors, so please dress your child for the weather and for active, messy play. Children should bring a water bottle, snack, and lunch each day.
Tinker Lab Play Camp is more than a week of projects; it’s a space for children to wonder, invent, experiment, connect, and experience childhood the way it was meant to be: hands-on, outdoors, and full of possibility.
